Heroes

I love biographies! I enjoy reading about those who have gone before me and lived a life for the Lord. Usually in my regular reading regiment I try to read a book that will help me grow in these different areas: youth ministry and personal growth. The last book I read was Youth Ministry 3.0by Mark Oestreicher and now I am reading Heroes by Iain Murray. It is on the lives of 7 different men during the time of the Great Awakening.

I try to read biographies on Christian men and women every now as they are an encouragement  to me to keep on going in this life. Sometimes we can either get so weighed down with what we  have going on that we forget that we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses  (Hebrews 12:1) that has gone before us and endured through trials and persecution. Christian  biographies help fan the flame of faith in your life. If you have not read any I encourage you to  start. Before Youth Ministry 3.0 I read a biography on John Newton by Jonathan Aitken that  was really well written and inspiring. What Christian biography did you read recently that  really inspired you?
